Notes on Making a Difference

Annie Besant - Activist for woman's rights.  She wrote for the national reformer.

Leon Sullivan- A civil rights leader and minster. Tried to get jobs for black males and lead a protest against the companies.

Ansel Adams- He dropped out of school. He's most famous for photograph of landscapes.

Susan B. Anthony- Fought to end slavery. She believed in equal rights fro everyone.

Rachel Carson- Marine biologist. Raised up against chemical companies.

Caesar Chardez- Latino civil rights activists. He was a vegan.

Roger Baldwin- Director of aclu. Spent a year in jail cause he didn't send a draft for war.

Eva Peron- She was a first lady to the president. She was an actress at fifteen.

Akbar- He was on throne by fifteen. He was a general.

Aung San Suu Kyi- Her father created the vermesse military. She tried to make a democracy.

Jane Adams- A woman's rights activist. She wrote eleven books.

John Muir- He was an author. John and his family migrated to America.

Deganawida- He made peace in tribes with cannibalism. Refused to play war games with children.

W.E.B Dubious- A sociologist. He helped with the civil rights movement.


Jacques- He was in a car accident. Invented the scuba diving tank.

Ida. B. Wells- Her parents were enslaved. She was a journalist.
